Chelsea regret sending Fikayo Tomori on loan to AC Milan

According to Express, Chelsea are retrospectively ruing the decision to send Fikayo Tomori on loan to AC Milan.

Tomori has become the toast of AC Milan as his employers are lavishing praises on him. The Serie A giants have been impressed with his performances since arriving on loan in January.

Despite impressing with a good start to his Chelsea career, his form fizzled out soon last season. Tomori found game time hard to come by towards the end of Frank Lampard’s reign. With the arrival of Thiago Silva, Tomori was sidelined as Kurt Zouma was preferred ahead of the English starlet.

AC Milan came for his services in January and took him on loan until the end of this season. However, they hold a £20m to-buy clause, which they can choose to exercise at the end of the season.

Tomori has impressed massively for the Milan giants and it looks very likely that he could make the move permanent in the summer. Milan director Paolo Maldini is seriously considering a permanent move for Tomori after describing the Chelsea man as the only positive winter signing.

However, now it has been said that Chelsea are regretting the decision to let him leave.

As Tomori is likely to line up on Thursday at San Siro, Chelsea will get a glimpse of him again. It looks very likely that Tomori has no future at Chelsea if he returns from Milan.

With his impressive showings for the Italian gians and the general opinion of the club officials, they are very likely to make his stay a permanent one.
