Lesley Ugochukwu returned from injury and received some minutes in Chelsea’s 2-1 win against Brighton & Hove Albion, which saw the Blues climb to sixth spot in the Premier League table.

However, the midfielder appeared for some minutes as he was introduced in the 90th minute of the game, replacing Conor Gallagher. The midfielder later posted on Instagram with the caption, ‘’Na God, get power. I am very happy to be back with the team after my injury! Great win tonight’’

His post was flooded by his Blues teammates with comments from Malo Gusto, Noni Madueke, and Diego Moreira. Cheslea started the game on a strong note and managed to find the back of the net when Cole Palmer’s brilliant header beat Bart Verbruggen in the 30th minute.

The Blues led for a considerable amount of time, and they increased their advantage when Christopher Nkunku swept in a cross from Malo Gusto. But as the game approached full-time when Reece James received a red card as Chelsea went one man down as the match headed towards full-time.

Brighton managed to pull one back in the 98th minute through Danny Welbeck. But the Blues were able to cruise to a narrow win and climb to sixth place after Newcastle United suffered a 3-2 defeat against Manchester United.

Since joining Chelsea, Ugochukwu has made a great impression and has been an impactful substitute. The 20-year-old has not put a foot wrong and showed immense composure on the ball, but injury derailed his seamless progress this season, and now with a game remaining, Chelsea will hope to secure the fifth spot if Tottenham Hotspur loses against Sheffield United.
