Newcastle United eyeing a move for Chelsea trio including Conor Gallagher

Newcastle United have shown interest in signing Conor Gallagher, Hakim Ziyech, Ruben Loftus-Cheek from Chelsea

Newcastle United are supposedly exploring the opportunity of acquiring Conor Gallagher, Hakim Ziyech, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek from Chelsea.

According to the Telegraph (requires subscription) (h/t ESPN), it is claimed that the Magpies are willing to sign Gallagher, Ziyech, and Loftus-Cheek in order to bolster their midfield and frontline.

After being taken over by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF), which is led by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Newcastle staged a significant comeback last season.

The team has been outstanding this campaign as they try to secure a Champions League spot after clawing their way out of the relegation zone last year to finish in 11th place.

Since taking over as manager, Eddie Howe has done a fantastic job, and the club is aiming to strengthen their team in preparation for important competitions.

It would be worth considering selling Loftus-Cheek and Ziyech since both players have not been able to contribute much under Graham Potter.

The 29-year-old played the majority of the season as a substitute. Since his outstanding showing at the World Cup, Ziyech has started every game and looked to cement his spot in the team, but more should be expected from the 29-year-old Moroccan player.

And it was known that the player had considered leaving the team last summer but decided to stay. Meanwhile, Loftus-Cheek has featured in eight games under Potter and has not been an effective player.

We have ample depth up front for now with the signings of Joao Felix (on loan) and Mykhaylo Mudryk. The midfield also seems like it can cope with Loftus-Cheek.

We anyway need world-class additions there, who can successfully succeed N’Golo Kante and Jorginho in the long run. As good as Loftus-Cheek has been on occasions, he doesn’t seem like he can fit that mould as of now.

More Chelsea News:

Whatever choice the club ultimately makes, we can only hope that it will be advantageous to us. It will also provide us with the chance to show some income as well when we are trying to balance the books, as the club has lavishly spent in these two transfer windows.
