Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid eye Chelsea star Mason Mount

According to the Spanish publication Fichajes (h/t The Sun), Chelsea ace Mason Mount has attracted interest from Champions League giants Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Manchester City. He has turned into one of the finest midfielders in football, in the last few years.

The Englishman has turned quickly into a fan-favourite at Stamford Bridge after rising through the ranks and breaking into the first team in 2019. He exploded onto the scene under Frank Lampard and has since maintained the same standards with Thomas Tuchel.

The 22-year-old has a contract with the Blues until 2024, having signed his previous deal in 2019. He has a goal involvement of 20 goals and 17 assists from 121 appearances across all competitions. He is also a star for his national side and is involved in England’s rise to the top in recent times.

Man City, Real and Bayern are admirers of the midfielder and wants to get his signature to add to their squads. The Bavarians want him to replace Thomas Muller, who is in the latter stages of his career, whereas City and Madrid have acknowledged his quality.

However, it is very bold to think that a departure is in the cards for the Englishman. He was a crucial part of the club’s journey to winning the Champions League and has played a part one helping them to become the Premier League leaders this season.

The England international has no plans to leave anytime soon, and the sentiment is shared by his current club. It would be absurd to think that a move for him is probable, as the London based club are on an upward trajectory.

Tuchel’s side are in their best shape in recent times and are genuine contenders for multiple titles this season. It is improbable that a player of Mount’s quality would be allowed to go to other top clubs. And the fact of the matter is that both the player and the club are content with each other.
