According to Sky Sports, Chelsea ace Timo Werner has backed Kai Havertz to get even better.
The German duo joined the club from the Bundesliga earlier this summer. Despite not hitting peak form yet, they have continued to impress and are getting better with more game time.
Havertz for his part struggled in his first two games. But he showcased what he can do with a hat-trick in the Carling Cup fixture against Barnsley.
Werner has a high opinion of his teammate and believes he is one of the best players in world football. He believes the 21-year-old has what it takes to dominate English football.
“I know Kai very well and I think he is one of the most talented players in the whole world.”
Werner revealed that Havertz is happy to be at Chelsea. Praising Havertz’s wisdom, he believes the midfielder will go a long way in his career.
“He is a young boy, only 21 and he can learn a lot but can already play like a very, very old and wise player.”
A prolific scorer, Havertz’s numbers are extremely impressive for a midfielder. However, that isn’t his only strength.
Werner believes Havertz also is a savant at creating goals. He has the ability to improve the game of those around him and will be an asset to the club.
“He plays a lot of key passes, makes a lot of movement for other players. He is very talented and feels good.”
Havertz has made 10 appearances for Chelsea so far. During this time, he has scored four goals and assisted three more.
For a person who is still adapting to the league, it is a good return indeed. It is exciting to know that his best is yet to come.
