Hakim Ziyech and Ben Chilwell have emerged as priority summer signings for Chelsea. (h/t ESPN)
Lampard’s youth revolution at Chelsea got off to a good start but things eventually slowed down. Despite falling far behind, the Blues have held onto the fourth spot.
Ziyech would add depth to our attack while we would go a long way towards potentially replacing left-back Marcus Alonso with English international Ben Chilwell (h/t ESPN).
At just 23, Chilwell is one of the league’s best left-backs and could be part of an upcoming Chelsea defence potentially featuring the likes of Fikayo Tomori and Reece James.
Chilwell has established himself as Leicester City’s first-choice over the last few seasons and has made 113 appearances for the Foxes so far.
Ziyech, on the other hand, was central to Ajax’s dream run to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League last season. He has continued to perform admirably this term and has registered 8 goals and 16 assists in 28 appearances. (h/t Whoscored)
Manchester United were also interested in signing Ziyech but Chelsea would be wise to get to him first.
