Valencia didn’t have a great Champions League game against Juventus last night. Although the La Liga side were given a boost when Cristiano Ronaldo saw a red card, they failed to take advantage and lost 2-0 at the Mestalla.
Miralem Pjanic scored a pair of penalties but Los Che had a few chances to break the deadlock. Michy Batshuayi, on loan from Chelsea, started the game but couldn’t help his side score.
The Belgian is an avid social media user and tweeted that the club could be “proud” of their performance.
That didn’t sit well with a number of the Valencia fans. Going down against ten men is never great and this result could return to haunt them.
The La Liga side’s group features Manchester United and Young Boys too. Batshuayi will have to up his game in the coming weeks and a few fans expected more from the team.
