Diego Costa’s Chelsea future will be tested by Paris Saint-Germain’s mammoth £40 million bid in the summer. The Ligue 1 club is looking to add a striker of quality to their squad and has identified Costa as the primary target according to the Express.
The French champions are running down the contract with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and may also lose Edison Cavani in the summer. Naturally they are looking for a suitable replacement for these two players and their eyes have fallen on the Chelsea striker. Chelsea is unlikely to qualify for Champions League next season and Costa can be lured with the promise of the European tournament, is expected by PSG.
Antonio Conte is the incoming manager at Stamford Bridge and the Italian may want to build the team to his own liking and if need be will be ready to sell Costa for a big amount. Well, £40 million is a big amount definitely.
