Chelsea’s Dream XI For The 2016-17 Season: Featuring Two Super Players From Serie A

New season, new hopes. As the disastrous 2015-16 season is finally in its final months, Chelsea fans can look forward to the next season with a lot of belief that with a new manager, the fortunes will change at the Bridge and it will be back to normal being in the top 4 of the Premier League.

Antonio Conte is labelled as the next Chelsea boss with the negotiations in an advanced stage with the Italian. Conte is a perfectionist and he obviously will want to make some changes in the squad to make it challenging on all fronts.

There are not many positions that require upgrades but two or three faces will shake up the squad and it will be good for the dressing room also. Some players need to be sold that will make way for the new faces.

Chelsea has two good goalkeepers, so there is no need for a new man between the posts. The blues might need a full back to cover for the ones that are at the club now. A centre back has to be bought, and that is a necessity.

A box to box midfielder will be on the wish list of Antonio Conte. A forward adding to that list will complete the overhaul that is needed at the club.

The dream summer transfer period will happen if we could beat a host of other clubs to the signing of John Stones, Mauro Icardi and Paul Pogba.

John Stones is a bright young English talent and as Everton are not in Europe , the ball playing centre back will be looking for new pastures. Chelsea is a perfect destination for Stones to develop and to become an England regular.

Mauro Icardi is a long-term target for the Club and Antonio Conte speaks of him highly. The Italian might want to bring Icardi to the Premier League and the player himself has suggested that he likes a move to England.

Pogba – Chelsea Target

Paul Pogba is a very difficult target with the likes of FC Barcelona and Man City looking for his services. In this case, Roman Abramovic has to work his magic and bring the Frenchman to Stamford Bridge. This will be a dream transfer and a delight for all the Chelsea fans.

With these signings, Chelsea can mount a challenge for the title next season under the leadership of Antonio Conte. After a rather disappointing season, these signings will put fear in the mind of the rivals.

Chelsea’s Dream Team for 2016-17:

Thibaut Courtois, Branislav Ivanovic, Kurt Zouma, John Stones, Cesar Azpilicueta, Cesc Fabregas, Paul Pogba, Eden Hazard, Willian, Mauro Icardi, Diego Costa.
