We’re In No Rush, Insists Gourlay

Despite Roberto Di Matteo’s heroic end to the season, Chelsea Chief Executive Ron Gourlay has insisted the club have no wish to rush the appointment of a new manager, casting fresh doubts whether Di Matteo will be given the job full time.

There is speculation that current Spurs boss Harry Redknapp might be in the frame for the role.

Champions League Final Preview: Bayern vs Chelsea

Chelsea travel to the Allianz Arena tonight to face Bayern Munich in the Champions League Final, and try and erase the heartache of penalty shootout failure against Man United just a few seasons ago.
                                   
If the prospect of playing the final on Bayerns turf wasn’t bad enough, they will have to do it without their captain John Terry, as well as Ivanovic, Meireles, and Ramires, who are all suspended for this clash.   
                                    

Chelsea vs Blackburn Preview

Chelsea host Blackburn this afternoon in the final set of Premier League fixtures for the season, although the home side still have the small matter of the Champions League final to worry about next Saturday.

The visitors have already been relegated after they were beaten by fellow strugglers Wigan last week, whilst Chelseas hopes of qualifying for next years Champions League via league position were dashed, as Liverpool took revenge and beat them 4-1 in midweek.

Liverpool vs. Chelsea Preview

Chelsea face Liverpool tonight in a rematch of the FA Cup Final three days prior, with Liverpool seeking revenge for the loss on home turf.
                        
Chelsea bossed that game, and only the introduction of the much criticised Andy Carroll sparked a comeback, although the reds still lost the game 2-1, missing out on a domestic cup double.

No Robbin’ Arjen from Bayern, but Lavezzi could leave Napoli

Arjen Robben, whos side will face Chelsea in this months Champions League final, has signed an extension to his current deal, keeping him at the club until 2015, and silencing any talk of a move away from the Allianz Arena.

Cisse Brace Gives Di-Matteo The Blues

The in-form Papiss Cisse struck a brace today as Newcastle all but ended Chelseas hopes of Champions League qualification via league position.  They now sit 4 points behind both Newcastle and Tottenham in joint-fourth with just two games remaining.
