Chelsea star makes heartwarming gesture by sending jerseys to Liverpool academy graduate’s kids

Chelsea forward Raheem Sterling sends signed shirt to Liverpool academy graduate Conor Coady’s kids

Raheem Sterling reposted an Instagram story of Liverpool academy player Conor Coady, in which the Chelsea forward sent a signed shirt to his kids. Coady uploaded the post with the caption ‘’Thank you, brother, the boys are made up’’ with a blue heart emoji.

Players sending signed shirts to their opponents has become the norm in football, and we see such things often. Because football is more than just rivalry, there has to be respect for each other in the game.

Since respect for the opposition is the first and most important moral in football. But when both teams compete to win, it all gets forgotten during the game. But we see how the players on both sides embrace each other after the game.

Additionally, it demonstrates your respect for opposition players, and sending signed jerseys to them is another way of showing your gratitude towards the player. Furthermore, it’s just a simple gesture of respect—which is something that football needs more of—when players’ children want to autograph the jerseys of opposing players.

Football is a beautiful sport that unites people in such matches. Sterling is one of the prominent players who has made a name for himself over the years in the Premier League, and certainly, there are youngsters and academy players who look up to him as an inspiration.
