Wolves linked with surprise move for Chelsea star with ‘amazing potential’

Wolves target Chelsea striker Armando Broja

The Guardian reveals that Wolves are interested in signing Armando Broja, who has an uncertain future at Chelsea. The Blues are looking to find a new striker, and it will put the Albanian forward further down the pecking order.

It’s doubtful that Wolves will make a permanent move for the 22-year-old, and a loan transfer could be possible for them. Broja has also been targeted by Napoli and AC Milan in the past.

Nicolas Jackson remains Mauricio Pochettino’s first option in the No. 9 role, but he is now participating in the African Cup of Nations, which has given Broja an excellent chance to show his credentials.

However, the 22-year-old hasn’t been able to put the ball in the net despite so many chances. The Fulham game was enough to indicate that Broja is far from developed, as the forward missed two big chances.

Moreover, the addition of a new striker will limit his progress even more because he may not be the team’s second choice. It would therefore be beneficial for him to either better himself or transfer to a team where he can be sure of playing time.

Signing young players will not work in quick development so hopefully, the Blues recruitment team will sign an experienced striker who will make a difference as No.9.

We are unable to win a game after blowing those opportunities, which is affecting our position in the table. This is the most crucial issue that needs to be resolved for the upcoming season. Therefore, anyone Chelsea signs ought to frequently find the back of the net.

However, before that, the club will need to make enough profit before spending, and the club knows that selling academy players will result in pure revenue in FFP terms. Broja is an academy player, and clubs have already shown interest in signing him. Now it’s up to the Blues to decide on his future next summer.

But if he finds his feet before the end of the season, then he might be at the club, as Mauricio Pochettino admires a striker a lot and feels he has the potential to become a club icon in the future.
