Peter Crouch names one Chelsea star who got him ‘out of chair’ in Fulham win with superb display

Peter Crouch feels Chelsea star Cole Palmer is light years ahead of his age in performance

Chelsea star Cole Palmer’s performance last night against Fulham left former England international Peter Crouch in disbelief. The Blues also climbed to the eighth spot in the table ahead of Manchester United, continuing their upward trend.

The 21-year-old has now scored nine goals in 17 Premier League matches for the Blues and is turning out to be a sensational buy. It is fair to say that he has been worth every penny we paid City for.

Palmer has been tremendous for us, and this victory over Fulham made up for his missed opportunities and gave the Blues an urgent victory ahead of their Carabao Cup second-leg matchup against Middlesbrough.

Palmer always seems like a steal from City when he puts on these incredible shows, and he told Squawka that his performance was so excellent that it even moved Crouch out of his chair. Given the players the former footballer has shared the field with, it is an excellent statement.

“He got me and Joe (Cole) off our chairs today. He was exciting, and he’s great to watch. I love the way when he brings the ball forward, he’s always scanning the pitch. He’s a player that looks beyond his years.”

Every Chelsea supporter reacts in the same way when Palmer performs well in almost every game, even if, theoretically, he provided the pre-assist for the penalty kick after his magnificent ball to Raheem Sterling, who cut back and got caught by the Fulham man.

Nine goals for a new club is no joke, and besides scoring penalties, he also excels with his movement and moving into space. Palmer has so far looked like a bargain, and he continues to thrive here. He is beyond his year because such maturity in performance at such a young age bodes well for the future.

This performance will give him a big boost ahead of our second leg game against Middlesbrough because he had a poor night as he missed several chances, but this goal and a win are great confidence boosts, and he will look to make a difference in the game.
