Wayne Bridge blames Chelsea players for slow progress under Mauricio Pochettino
According to The Mirror, Wayne Bridge has criticized Chelsea players, asserting that they have disappointed Mauricio Pochettino, despite the Argentine manager’s commendable work at the club. Inconsistencies on the pitch, according to Bridge, have hindered Chelsea’s rapid development.
Following a 1-0 defeat to Middlesbrough, the Argentine manager has faced considerable criticism, with some calling for his dismissal. Nevertheless, Pochettino continues to enjoy the support of the board.

However, former Chelsea defender Bridge believes Pochettino has been a terrific hire and has changed the team partially, but the player is wearing
Bridge believes Pochettino‘s significant impact on the team since his appointment but points out that inconsistent player performances have been a letdown, as reported by Mirror. Bridge elaborates:
“It’s astonishing how inconsistent they are, considering the substantial investment. Individual performances from certain players have disappointed him.”
“Chelsea is currently in the market for new players. However, they face competition from other teams like Man City, Arsenal, and Spanish sides when it comes to attracting top talent. I hope Pochettino is given time. He has a proven track record with young players.”
Bridge rightly notes that in a young team, mistakes are inevitable as players develop and gain experience. When individual players miss significant opportunities, it becomes a reflection of their performance rather than Pochettino’s coaching
