Report reveals star midfielder’s stance at Chelsea amid Bayern Munich links

Conor Gallagher is ready to fight for his place to remain at Chelsea

As per the Guardian, even though Chelsea are willing to let Conor Gallagher go, he is prepared to battle for his position in the team. The midfielder has been linked to numerous teams and Bayern Munich are now a new side expressing interest.

The Blues are aware of how much Gallagher has honed his game, but because of a financial situation, the team might have to sell him in order to turn a profit following yet another expensive summer.

The 23-year-old’s contract expires this season, and he has yet to sign a new deal. Though the club hasn’t ruled out reaching an agreement but they don’t want to lose the England international for free.

The Blues academy player has heaped praise on Mauricio Pochettino, who is keen to keep the midfielder despite rumours surrounding his sale. But given their FFP rule, the club could find it difficult to turn down an offer of around £50 million for the 23-year-old.

It will be sad if Chelsea decides to sell Gallagher, who has now become a fan favourite, is now a regular starter, and has always been appreciated for his performance.

Selling Gallagher will be a big mistake.

We will regret selling Gallagher, who has been phenomenal for us and has improved massively under Pochettino. What Gallagher offers as a midfielder is different from other players; his pressing, agility, energy, and versatility allow the Blues to flourish off possession. He brings balance to midfield and helps his side win the ball back with intense pressing.

The Argentine manager will lose one of his finest assets because Gallagher’s statistics speak volumes. This season, he stands alone among the players in Europe’s top five divisions with more than twenty shoots, 20 opportunities created, 20 dribbles completed, 20 touches inside the opposing box, 20 duels won, 20 tackles, and 20 interceptions.
