Chelsea in a “war” to sign 25-year-old PSG target by June 30

Chelsea are set to compete with Paris Saint-Germain for Victor Osimhen

Editor of radio station Kiss Kiss Napoli, (h/t Football. London), Valter De Maggio, has revealed Chelsea are now at war with Paris Saint-Germain for their top target, Victor Osimhen.

Both clubs are vying for his services, and PSG have earmarked Napol’s forward signing. It is also confirmed that either one of the clubs is expected to land him by June 30.

The Blues have been heavily linked with the striker, who is said to be open to coming to Stamford Bridge, but now the Ligue 1 club seems to have spoiled the party for the Blues.

And given the amount of money they spent on players, it will be extremely difficult to compete with PSG for Osimhen’s signing and personal agreement are set to play a crucial role in his landing him.

While Mauricio Pochettino works to assemble a youthful team, the Blues’ consistency in front of the net continues to be a major issue. He has done an adept job thus far, but his team still has a lot of space to grow.

But there are things that we cannot control, like missing so many chances because this squad still lacks experience in front of the net and makes many individual errors.

While the latter will gradually become better with every game, the former may take some time to work out. So, for now, our top objective is still to get a reputable striker. Osimhen, who has shone this season as well, has long been an option for the team and has now joined Nigeria for the African Cup of Nations.

The competition is now increasing for his acquisition, and PSG can lure the striker with a massive salary. Joining us will benefit the striker a lot because our current problem is scoring goals, and once his addition aids us in that department he will receive plenty of service from our creative players.

So Osimhen will have a big decision to make, and the Blues will certainly compete for his signing because they cannot let go of their long-term target just like that.
