Chelsea have sent scouts to watch Barcelona target Roony Bardghji

Chelsea continue to be linked with FC Copenhagen starlet Roony Bardghji, who recently burst onto the scene in a Champions League match against Manchester United.

The Swedish winger came off the bench to score a winner goal to give Copenhagen a 4-3 win over United. Bardghji has also produced seven goals this season in the league and continues to attract attention from big European sides.

According to Fabrizio Romano, (h/t Metro), many European clubs, such as Barcelona, Juventus and Bayern Leverkusen, are scouting the forward.

Chelsea continue to send their scouts to witness the 18-year-old in action. Bardghji’s contract runs until 2025, and the club feels they can get him for a reasonable price in the winter or next summer transfer window.

Bardghji’s talent is undeniable, and given that lots of clubs are scouting him, he can be the next big thing for a side he joins. However, he hasn’t scored since his goal against United, but he is an exciting talent.

Chelsea are always in a race to sign such talented young players, and it’s no-brainer that they want the 18-year-old. Here at Chelsea, he will be nurtured by one of the best managers known for developing young players.

The Swede will benefit from Mauricio Pochettino’s reputation for developing young players, but before making a signing, we need to remember that we have youngsters of his age who want to play for Chelsea’s senior squad.

However, it’s not required to sign every young player who establishes a reputation for himself. We must place a strong focus on growing our academy in addition to the individuals in our academy who are eager to demonstrate their abilities for the senior team.
