Chelsea eyeing a move for 19-year-old Borussia Dortmund starlet

Chelsea have Borussia Dortmund Jamie Bynoe-Gittens on their radar

Chelsea are plotting a move for Borussia Dortmund superstar Jamie Bynoe-Gittens. The 19-year-old joined the German club from Manchester City, but a potential move to England is on the cards.

According to Fichajes, (h/t Football.London) Chelsea are scouting his development at Dortmund but face a tough battle for his acquisition as the German club is demanding €40 million (£34.7 million) for Bynoe-Gittens.

Meanwhile, for Chelsea, an amount more than the £50 million mark will be required for Dortmund to even consider a deal. Besides the Blues, Newcastle and Arsenal have also expressed interest.

Chelsea’s ambitions have been clear: to sign young players and build a project around them, and the club has already recruited many top talents under Todd Boehly.

Chelsea don’t necessarily need another winger right now because they appear to be well-stocked on the wings. It would be best for the 19-year-old to continue growing there because he is still quite young. Dortmund have demonstrated their ability to develop young players by doing so with Jude Bellingham and Erling Haaland.

The Blues should give priority to their current young players who have been loaned to other teams before recruiting a new player. Our player Angelo Gabriel is having a fantastic time at RC Strasbourg, and Chelsea could use him next season if he keeps up his terrific performance.

We also have Christopher Nkunku, who has yet to return from injury. He will be thrown straight into the starting lineup when he makes a comeback. Bynoe-Gittens will be sensible to remain at Dortmund until he feels he is ready to take the next step of his career, and the Blues will certainly be prepared to make a move when the time is right.
