AC Milan targeting moves for two Chelsea centre-backs

AC Milan wants to bring Chelsea stars Malang Sarr and Benoit Badiashile

AC Milan have targeted Chelsea duo Malang Sarr and Benoit Badiashile, with Todd Boehly, set to meet with Milan’s representatives to discuss the potential moves of Chelsea’s stars.

According to Calciomercato, (h/t Express) Transfermarkt has valued Badiashile and Sarr together at £40 million. But a mid-season transfer doesn’t look likely, as Milan are looking to make a summer move.

This comes after Serie A giant defenders Pierre Kalulu, Marco Pellegrino, and Simon Kjaer have been sidelined with injuries, which has compelled the club to look for centre-backs. Badiashile joined Chelsea last January, showed a promising performance, and already has two goals to his name.

Sarr isn’t even a substitute at the club anymore and has turned into an outcast. He will benefit from the transfer since it will provide him the same chance to rebuild his career as his former Chelsea teammates Christian Pulisic, Olivier Giroud, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek did.

Badiashile shouldn’t be put on sale, given he will be important for us despite appearing once this season. He is a talented defender who can become a fundamental part of the club once he avoids injuries and remains fit throughout the entire season.

The same cannot be said for Sarr, who doesn’t have a scope at the club, and a move away will be better for him. He is also way young and can start his career somewhere where he can get regular game time. It’s acceptable that things couldn’t work at Chelsea, but that doesn’t mean he should stop trying. There are plenty of chances, and if he joins Milan, he will get to partner with his former teammate Fikayo Tomori.

Badiashile illustrated last season why he will be significant for us in the coming years, and selling him would be a mistake because he has a lot of promise to become an elite defender.
