AC Milan could make winter loan approach for out-of-favour Chelsea star

AC Milan keen on acquiring Chelsea centre-back Trevoh Chalobah on loan

Trevoh Chalobah is drawing interest from many top clubs, and now AC Milan have joined the race to land Chelsea centre-back on loan in January.

According to Calciomercato, (h/t Football.London) Chalobah has been told he won’t play for the Blues again, and the door is open for him to leave, giving other clubs a chance to seize it. Milan are attentive to his situation and may plot a January transfer to the Serie A club.

The Blues have already done transfer business with the Serie A club after they sold the likes of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Christian Pulisic, and Fikayo Tomori to San Siro.

The 23-year-old came close to leaving the club last summer when Chelsea accepted a bid fro, Nottingham Forest, but the centre-back turned down the move.

Bayern are also keen on signing him and could make a January move that will see him reunite with former Blues manager Thomas Tuchel, who handed the player his debut in West London.

Chelsea want to sell Chalobah permanently, so a loan doesn’t make sense until they put an obligation to buy because there’s a chance he could return to the team if he doesn’t meet their expectations.

In the winter transfer window, Bayern and Milan could battle for the defender; therefore, we should try to take advantage of competition. Chalobah, nevertheless, must also choose which club he wants to join. He will be back together with Tuchel at Bayern, and at Milan he will be reunited with former Chelsea players. He will have the opportunity to revitalise his career at both clubs and which one to pursue is now his decision.
