William Gallas compares Chelsea forward Mykhailo Mudryk to Cristiano Ronaldo
William Gallas has made a bold statement on Chelsea forward, Mykhailo Mudryk and his qualities and has claimed that he possesses similar traits to Cristiano Ronaldo.
Comparing a player to Ronaldo is certainly a big compliment because of what Ronaldo has achieved throughout his career. Although comparing Mudryk to Ronaldo is a daring statement, nobody knows if he has the skills to get even close to the former Real Madrid star.
The former Shakhtar Donetsk forward finally broke his prolonged goalscoring drought against Fulham, and hopefully, there will be many more to come.
But to do that, he will need to carry on Ronaldo’s tradition of consistency throughout his playing career, which is something only Lionel Messi could compete with.
But Gallas feels Mudryk possesses similar traits to the former Manchester United forward, who first came to the Premier League, (h/t Express):
“I think he has all of the attributes to become a top player. We can all see that he has the ingredients; we are just waiting to see his real quality. He makes things look really easy. The way that he can accelerate past players makes his opponent look slow.
“One player that was a little bit similar was Cristiano Ronaldo. When Cristiano was younger and first came to the Premier League, he showed that he had all of the technical ability and the pace. He showed incredible skill with his stepovers.”
This is a very big statement, but when we talk about Mykhailo Mudryk and Ronaldo, both certainly took time to adapt to the Premier League. Ronaldo was signed when he was raw, but with time and patience, he was trusted, and he eventually delivered throughout his playing career, which is something Mudryk could do with trust and patience.
