Raheem Sterling lauds ‘energetic’ Chelsea star after win vs Burnley

Raheem Sterling praises Chelsea star Nicolas Jackson for ‘taking his chance’

Raheem Sterling looked lively in the Chelsea game against Burnley, as he got a goal and also won a penalty as the West Londoners secured a 4-1 win over the Clarets.

Cole Palmer was also one of the best players on the pitch, as he scored a penalty in the 50th minute and then set up Nicolas Jackson in the 74th minute to wrap up a dominant win as the Blues head into the October international break.

After an extended period, we finally won back-to-back games and it seems like Mauricio Pochettino’s system is functioning. However, the international break has come at the wrong time, as it will interrupt our momentum.

However, Sterling stood out against Burnley and looked vibrant and dangerous moving forward, generating opportunities. (h/t BBC) He also praised Nicolas Jackson’s energetic performance and said:

“”Nicolas Jackson is energetic, he gets about, helps the team defensively and he makes good runs. Grateful that he took his chance”

Raheem Sterling was a game-changer and a danger to the opponents. He was involved in two goals and also won a penalty. This was our best performance in a very long time, and each player should take credit for the victory because we gave it everything we had, never buckled under pressure, and mounted a stunning comeback.

The club is now showing signs of growth, and the sudden arrival of the international break at this time isn’t ideal because it will stop our upward trend. Hopefully, this won’t be the case. The players will need to be completely prepared because we’ll be playing against top clubs soon and we need to keep up these levels.
