“He’s yet to hit the heights” – Pundit sends message to Chelsea star Armando Broja after slow start to PL season

Glen Johnson feels Armando Broja possesses traits to become a top Chelsea player

Glen Johson has urged Chelsea fans to remain patient with Armando Broja, claiming he has yet to hit the heights but boasts all the talent to become a top striker.

Broja, who recently returned from a knee injury, featured in Chelsea’s last two games before the October international games and also scored in the Blues 2-0 win over Fulham.

He was later guaranteed a starting spot in a 4-1 win over Burnley but was later replaced by Nicolas Jackson in halftime due to his inefficiency in front of the goal.

He was also called up for Albanian October international games and will be hoping to rediscover his form as Chelsea are set to face top sides in their next Premier League matches.

Broja is just 22, and keeping such high expectations on young players puts pressure on them, which affects their performance. (h/t Metro) Former Chelsea player Jhonson has called for patience from the Blues fans and told Betfred:

‘‘I think he could potentially become a top player for Chelsea. He’s yet to hit the heights, but he’s young and definitely worth having as an option for Chelsea, and it’s better than them spending an awful lot of money on somebody else.’’

Johnson’s comments on Armando Broja make sense, and Chelsea have chosen to keep him rather than loan him out because they recognise his ability to excel. Even Mauricio Pochettino believes the 22-year-old is capable of reaching such heights with the right coaching, but we must maintain patience with his progress and soon we will witness a ruthless striker in him.
