Chelsea captain Reece James was full of praise for Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham

According to Football.London, Chelsea captain, Reece James, couldn’t stop singing the praises of his compatriot, Jude Bellingham, following the former Borussia Dortmund player’s stellar performance for Real Madrid in their impressive 4-0 victory over Osasuna.

Bellingham’s meteoric rise continues as he now boasts an astonishing record of 10 goals in his first 10 games with Real Madrid, a feat that equals the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo’s achievement when he joined the Spanish club back in 2009. Interestingly, Chelsea had the opportunity to secure Bellingham’s services, but they decided against making a bid, allowing the German club to capitalize on his acquisition.

Despite being a midfielder, the 20-year-old Bellingham currently leads the chart of top goalscorers in the league, showcasing his prowess on the pitch.

In contrast, Chelsea opted to sign Enzo Fernandez during the January transfer window, breaking the British transfer record in the process. Fernandez, who has quickly established himself as a fundamental player for the club, has become a regular starter under the management of Mauricio Pochettino.

While Chelsea’s decision to pass on Bellingham may have been a matter of recruitment issues, the impact of the young midfielder at the Spanish capital cannot be denied, especially after his remarkable brace in the 4-0 victory over Osasuna.

Following the game, Bellingham shared a photo of himself on Instagram, and the comments section was inundated with compliments from Real Madrid and national teammates alike. Among those who commented, Reece James stood out with his succinct but impactful remark: “Serious,” which garnered a staggering 20,000 likes.

Jude Bellingham‘s outstanding performance for Real Madrid this season has undoubtedly justified their investment in him. Scoring 10 goals as a midfielder in your debut season for a new team is a testament to his exceptional quality and ambition. Reece James, having shared the field with Bellingham during their time with the national team, is well aware of the young star’s incredible talent.

Despite not securing Bellingham’s services, Chelsea doesn’t harbor regrets. They have their own gifted midfielder in Fernandez, who has seamlessly adapted and quickly emerged as an indispensable player in his first season. Fernandez consistently delivers exemplary performances, and it’s only a matter of time before the goals start flowing as well.
