Chelsea star slams Arsenal fan asking for a selfie after ‘London is Red’ comment

Chelsea star Mykhailo Mudryk comes with a witty comeback to Arsenal fan who asked for selfie

Chelsea star Mykhailo Mudryk had a witty line for an Arsenal supporter who shouted “London is Red!” while requesting a selfie with the Ukrainian winger.

Footage emerged showing Mudryk obliging fans by posing for photos outside Ukraine’s team bus during the international break. However, after one Gunners follower got his picture taken, he couldn’t resist yelling out Arsenal’s “London is Red” chant.

Mudryk swiftly spun around and stared down the crowd when hearing the dig from the undercover Gooner. In Ukrainian, the 22-year-old Chelsea star had the perfect response ready for the cheeky Arsenal fan.

“Why are you asking for a photo then?” Mykhailo Mudryk fired back, prompting laughter from his watching teammates.

The £88.5 million man joined Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk in January, despite strong interest from Premier League rivals Arsenal. But that didn’t stop one mischievous supporter from trying to get under Mudryk’s skin with a reference to the Gunners.

It backfired badly, though, as the quick-witted winger flipped the script with his humorous put-down.

Rather than get riled, Mudryk cleverly suggested the fan shouldn’t have bothered getting a picture if he was just going to bring up Arsenal afterwards.

Since his big-money move to Stamford Bridge, Mudryk has endured a slow start, netting just once in 11 appearances so far.

But his sharp response to the Arsenal die-hard proved his mental fortitude during a challenging period of adaptation. Mudryk refused to let the rival fan’s jibe unsettle him, instead delivering an iconic verbal takedown.

The Chelsea attacker clearly has the personality to handle the Premier League’s intense rivalry between the two London clubs.
