Chelsea left-back Marc Cucurella wants John Cena to play him in a movie about his life
Chelsea left-back Marc Cucurella has revealed that he would choose WWE Superstar John Cena to play him in a movie about his life. To call it a curious decision would be an understatement.
Cena is one of the biggest names in WWE and a future Hall of Famer. More so, he is also an actor in Hollywood, recently appearing in 6the Fast and Furious franchise. He is among the most popular wrestlers in the business and shares the record with Rich Flair for the most number of WWE titles.
Cucurella, who joined from Brighton & Hove Albion in 2022, has endured a decent spell at Stamford Bridge. He is striving to make an impression, and in the past three games, has displayed his credentials to an extent.
The Spanish player barely played under Mauricio Pochettino during the start of this season but now seems to be gaining more traction, thanks to the suspension of Malo Gusto and Reece James’ injuries. The Argentine manager will have two options in Gusto and Cucurella to play on the right-back side as James suffered a setback during his recovery.
Cucurella could be a big fan of John Cena, which might be the reason he wants the wrestler to play him in a movie, which will be interesting to watch if they do make a movie about them. During the questionnaire with the Premier League channel on YouTube, the player was asked which big personality he wanted to play in a movie. He said:
“I’d like John Cena to represent me in a movie about my life because I have always liked his combat and his career in WWE.”
Will Cucurella soon join WWE and team up with Cena in a tag team match? But jokes aside, Cena is a talented actor who has appeared in a number of Hollywood films, many of which are well-known. We hope that Cena sees his interview and plays Cucurella in this next movie. One thing is for sure, the makeup artists will certainly have a job on their hands to make the wrestler look like Cucurella.

If Cena does play Cucurella in the movie, it should certainly make for interesting viewing. But then the Blues ace will certainly need to prove his worth big time in order to even be considered for a Hollywood enterprise. As things stand, he is far from a big player and movie plans for now at least will be akin to Cena’s punchline “You can’t see me”.
