Chelsea confirm new shirt sponsor following months of uncertainty

Chelsea have finally landed a shirt sponsor after agreeing a deal with Infinite Athlete

According to the Mirror, following the approval of the Premier League, Chelsea have confirmed Infinite Athlete as their new shirt sponsor for this season in a deal worth £40 million. It finally puts to an end the uncertainty regarding Three’s replacement.

The Blues were struggling to find a new sponsor since their previous deal with telecom group Three ended over the summer, and they began the new season without any sponsor. That now appears to be an issue anymore.

In their next game against Fulham, the sponsor’s name is expected to be on the shirt’s front side. Their new deal will also pump up the money the Blues need. The Blues have gone on a rampant spree since Todd Boehly became their new owners, spending a total of £460 million.

Following their extravagant spending, there has been a growing fear of financial fairplay, but the arrival of a new sponsor will give a sign of relief to the owners. It’s only a one-year deal, so fans will have to wait until fresh shirts with the sponsor’s name on them hit the shelves.

The Blues will be hoping to set a new stage for a successful partnership as they look for further new products that will be co-created with Infinite Athlete. Chelsea have incurred losses as they failed to win enough games last season, failing to qualify for European competitions. Hopefully a better season on the field this time around will help our value soar.

The Blues appear to be in need of funding after spending staggering sums of money during transfer windows, so we are glad to have finally secured a valuable sponsor who will provide a respectable amount of cash and aid shirt sales. However, the agreement only lasts for a year, so we’ll see how it works. If the board is happy with the sponsor, we may anticipate them increasing cash even more next season.
