“An absolute mess’’- Chelsea ace’s personal trainer rips into the Blues’ medical situation

Ed Hodge, the personal trainer of Trevoh Chalobah brands the Chelsea injury situation a mess

Trevoh Chalobah’s personal trainer, Ed Hodge, has labelled Chelsea’ FCs ever growing list of injuries a mess, as the club is currently dealing with several players out of action due to varying issues.

Hodge has slammed Chelsea’s medical team for not doing proper conditioning on players and taking precautions for individuals when they return to fitness, as they pick up injury into two or three games. This appears to be a trend given our struggles in recent times.

Hodge works with Chalobah, and his stance on the club’s injury was revealed in a private conversation on Instagram. It later went viral but was deleted subsequently.

The West Londoners injury list is so big that they can field a new team from their injured players, such as the likes of Christopher Nkunku, Reece James, Moises Caicedo, Wesley Fofana, Carney Chukwuemeka, Marcus Bettinelli, Romeo Lavia, and Benoit Badiashile, as well as Chalobah. While Armando Broja and Benoit Badiashile are eyeing a return, the rest are still some way off.

During their conversation, Hodge highlighted the problem with Chelsea’s medical staff and called it a mess because the players have been managed after healing from injuries, (h/t Metro) his message was read as.

‘‘Trev has a hammie injury. He should be back to 90 percent sprint ability by the end of this week. Most of the injuries are because the players have been loading muscles time and time again without lengthening them simultaneously. then one lunch into a tackle or a COD too rapidly, and they’re injured.”

‘’Hardly any of them do reformer Pilates or terrain work (i.e., stair sprints and hill sprints to strengthen knee ligaments). It’s an absolute mess at the moment, bro.’’

Our injury list is excessively long, almost all of whom are regular starters, and their absence has been noticeable in the games. If this is something that happens with how players recuperate from their injuries, we need to evaluate our medical team and look into it. All of this began during the previous campaign, and it has continued thus far this year, which is really concerning.
