Chelsea are linked with ‘shock’ summer move for Manchester United winger

Chelsea are linked with a move for Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho with days remaining in the transfer window

As per an update on Football London, Chelsea are somehow linked with a ‘shock’ move for Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho with the transfer window deadline not far away.

The England international is out of favour at United with their manager Erik ten Hag preferring to pick other options in the starting lineup so far this season. It is unclear though whether they would want to sell him so late in the window.

There is also a contradictory revelation from CBS Sports correspondent Ben Jacobs saying that the Blues have not registered an interest in the 23-year-old as of yet.

It remains to be seen what happens regarding this in the coming days. We won’t have to wait long though because the deadline is on Friday night.

Earlier in the day, Daily Mail reported that Chelsea are looking to bolster the attack with a signing on or before Friday. They have added Ferran Torres, Raphinha and Emile Smith Rowe to the list of players they could sign.

The Blues are currently short in the number 10 position with Christopher Nkunku out until December and Carney Chukwuemeka out for the next month or so. Although the likes of Enzo Fernandez and Conor Gallagher can play there, more options would be great for Mauricio Pochettino.

As mediocre as Sancho has been for United, it feels like he is playing within himself there. We all saw how good he was for Borussia Dortmund before moving to Old Trafford.

If Chelsea can register an interest, the England international could be perfect for them in that number 10 position. He has the game to link up with the likes of Nicolas Jackson and Raheem Sterling and cause a lot of issues for the opposition defenders.
