Saudi club make lucrative offer for world-class Chelsea summer target

Chelsea face competition from Al-Hilal for PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe

Saudi Arabian giants Al-Hilal are interested in signing Chelsea target Kylian Mbappe from PSG and are ready to offer an exorbitant salary of around £173.2 million per year to the forward to secure his services.

According to Journalist Tancredi Palmeri, (h/t Daily Mail) Saudi Arabia will also allow the 24-year-old to join Real Madrid after a year at the Middle Eastern club. While this suits him well, it is debatable if Paris Saint-Germain will be ready to sell him on the cheap.

However, the forward will be reluctant to join the Saudi club considering he wants to remain in Europe and continue at PSG until 2024. Whether he will be willing to take a hit for one season to secure his dream move is debatable.

Chelsea are also keen on signing the 2018 World Cup winner, but it could be challenging to reach personal terms with him given that the French star only wants to join Real Madrid. The Blues have already made inquiries regarding the former AS Monaco player’s availability, and the Ligue 1 winners expect an offer from the West Londoners.

Paris Saint-Germain are open to selling the 24-year-old and have also omitted him from their pre-season squad. It is also understood that the Ligue 1 club has placed an £87 million asking price for him, which could make it possible for the Blues to acquire him.

Mbappe potentially joining Chelsea will be an enormous boost for them because players of his ability adapt quickly to new leagues and make rapid strides. More so, it would be a statement from us landing one of the best players in world football.

Saudi club Al-Hilal have expressed interest in signing PSG star Kylian Mbappe.

However, we certainly don’t want to compete with Saudi clubs, as we know how much they can spend on a player’s signing. Given that we have to comply with the Financial Fair Play rule, his signing would also be complicated. On top of that, he would demand massive wages, and his intention is to join only Real Madrid once he completes his contract at PSG.
