Chelsea losing patience with wantaway striker as transfer saga rumbles on

Chelsea are growing frustrated with Romelu Lukaku as he continues to stall Saudi Arabian advances

Chelsea are losing patience with striker Romelu Lukaku as the forward is not keen to join the Saudi club Al-Hilal after also snubbing a move to Inter Milan in the ongoing summer transfer window.

As per Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, (Daily Mail) Al-Hilal have submitted £43 million for the former Everton striker who doesn’t want to join them, and this has annoyed Chelsea. It leaves the Blues in limbo as they struggle to rid themselves of the Belgian ace.

The forward is currently training at Cobham after his return from a season-long loan move from Inter Milan. Mauricio Pochettino also revealed the 30-year-old won’t remain at the club next season. With the end of the road now in sight, all that remains is for us to see where the 30-year-old ends up.

The striker was pushing for a move to Inter Milan but also displayed the willingness to join Juventus, which saw Inter withdraw from the race. Meanwhile, if Juventus wants to sign him, they will first have to offload Dusan Vlahovic, who has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

However, Lukaku’s move could be complicated for Juventus, as the Old Lady’s fans are not content with the Belgian forward joining them. Chelsea want to get rid of him as quickly as possible despite his transfer is now at a major impasse.

The Lukaku saga has frustrated Chelsea, as he is not able to decide which club he wants to join after snubbing Inter. He wouldn’t be having a spot in the squad for next season, which has been confirmed by the Blues boss. By holding up lucrative middle east offers, he is more or less hindering our efforts to rebuild.

Juventus cannot sign him until their Serbian attacker is sold, and Lukaku seems to be in a dilemma regarding his own transfer. The club doesn’t want him to stay at Chelsea the following season if his transfer doesn’t go through on schedule.

Despite the fact that Al-Hilal’s offer is enticing enough to be accepted, his refusal to switch to their team gravely compromises our transfer strategy. Hopefully, sooner rather than later we find common ground on the matter.

Given the enormous earnings he is making at the club, selling him would provide a way for Chelsea to recruit another top striker. Lukaku has had his chance to shine in Blue, twice. The time is now for him to turn tail and make a dignified exit. The longer he dilly-dallies, the harder it will make for him to garner sympathy from the Blues faithful.
