The Brazilian youngster made his impression on Pochettino in the pre-season game against Wrexham and could be at Chelsea following the season. The onus is now on him to maintain consistency and retain the same level of performance.

Many young players have been given the opportunity to impress the former Paris Saint-Germain boss as he builds towards his Chelsea rebuild. Santos certainly has the talent to thrive and now finds himself in a situation to showcase it.

The Blues’ efforts have centred heavily on developing young players after Chelsea landed several of them over the last few transfer windows. The Brazilian is one of the best talents on the roster and is expected to enjoy a fledgling career in the long run.

Santos has been handed a massive boost in a bid to remain at Chelsea and play a significant role next season. Ben Jacobs has refused to rule out Santos being sent on loan, as he told GIVEMESPORT:

“There are so many young players at Chelsea that they’re not all going to be able to be loaned. Otherwise, the squad size almost becomes too small. We’re actually going to have to wait and see with Santos. There was some talk that there was going to be a deal agreed upon for him to go and play in Portugal on loan, but there’s nothing that’s really developed at this point.”
