According to the Mirror, Chelsea players will land £11m in bonuses if they manage to win the FA Cup and the Champions League. The Blues have already received £5m after progressing to the final of the Champions League and another £5m will be on the offer when they win the final and £1m more if they win against Leicester City in the FA Cup final.
Chelsea entered the final of the Champions League this week after a convincing win over Real Madrid. Last month, they also made it to the FA Cup finals after a narrow win over Manchester City. Tuchel made sure Guardiola could not complete a full sweep of the quadruple.
The Blues could finish the season with two big trophies if they win their two finals at the end of the month. They will also bag more prize money and it will be evenly distributed among the players.
Each player in the matchday squad of the Champions League final will get £500,000 if they win the trophy. The distribution is a bit different from that of Man City, who have more individual bonuses.
Chelsea are finishing the season on a high after looking seemingly directionless midway through it. One cannot describe the level of impact Tuchel has had since taking over and he will look to lead them to a double over Man City by the end of this month.
