Jurgen Klopp names Chelsea favourites in Premier League title race

According to the Express, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has named Chelsea the favourites to win this season’s Premier League title.

The Blues are well in the hunt after a sustained run of positive results in recent weeks. A new-found defensive solidity combined with attacking nous has seen the club soar up the standings.

With the side regularly stacking up wins, the fact that we feature in conversations for the title is no surprise.

Having won the title at a canter last season, defending champions Liverpool are in for a proper fight this time around.

It is something Reds boss Jurgen Klopp seems acutely aware of. The German believes the Blues’ squad depth combined with the team gelling well will bode well for their hopes of winning the big prize. (h/t Express)

As thigns stand Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur are well placed to give us a real run for our money. A shrewd tactician, the Portuguese knows how to win the Premier League, having done so thrice with us.

Klopp’s Liverpool too are formidable opponents as they have shown in recent seasons. Despite injuries to key players, they are within touching distance of the top. They will be a real force to contend with once their stars return.

The title race is far from over and there is still many twists and turns that could occur.
