Chelsea started the Maurizio Sarri era with a 3-0 win over Huddersfield Town. The scoreline could have been more for but we looked a little rusty and shaky at the start of the game.
The team grew in confidence as minutes went by and the first goal was scored by World Cup winner N’Golo Kante.
Jorginho also got on the scoresheet as he slotted past Ben Hamer in the Huddersfield goal in the 45th minute via a penalty. Pedro rounded off the scoring in the 80th minute.
Sarri handed out Premier League debuts to new boys Jorginho and Kepa Arrizabalaga and the young keeper had to be on his toes to keep Chelsea in the game in the first half.
One of the interesting parts of our play was seeing Jorginho sit deeper in the midfield with Kante going forward.
The Frenchman is not known for his goalscoring exploits but a few Chelsea fans certainly were pleased and they shared their reactions to the goal from Kante.
