It has been a while since Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has been on the lookout for former Blues striker Romelu Lukaku.
Chelsea’s previous bid of £57m was rejected by the Merseyside club and now the Blues are reportedly ready with an improved offer of £68m, £11m more than their previous offer.
Chelsea are keen on signing back the player whom they let go in 2014 while the club was managed by the then boss Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese boss failed to realize the player’s potential, however, Chelsea’s new boss Conte wants the player in his squad as according to the Italian, Lukaku fits his plans for the next season.
Despite the fact that Everton are demanding an amount closer to £75m for the Belgium International, Lukaku still remains one of the top targets for Chelsea. Further, the Blues are willing to offer a five-year deal to the player at the Stamford Bridge.
