Chelsea’ incoming manager Antonio Conte’s charismatic influence seems to be already affecting the squad even before his arrival. As per reports from Metro, the Italian was present in London and has had a talk with several Chelsea squad members.

Diego Costa was heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge but after having a one-on-one discussion with the Italian is now ready to stay and fight to lift Chelsea up again.

Earlier the Spanish striker has been linked with a move to his old club Atletico Madrid as well as Chinese Super League clubs who were ready to pay massive salary to the player. Diego Costa’s exit would mean that the Blues would have to find a quality striker without playing Champions league next season which would be extremely difficult. Now with Costa staying back the work becomes much easier for Chelsea. We are yet to hear how the meeting with Conte has affected other players.
