PSG Looking To Sign Chelsea Star – Why The London Club Should Avoid Selling

The demand one will receive after experiencing a fantastic season, where the player has demonstrated abilities that far exceed his age, will be very high. Big clubs from all around Europe will be readying their cheque-books for an enormous bid that is designed to fend off other interest. It can either play into the hands of the player’s current employer or it can seriously damage them as a club.

Either way, when your star player proves why he’s considered a star then you have to be braced for some big money talk.

The Mirror has certainly thrown around a huge amount of money in their paper today as they’re reporting that Paris Saint Germain are eyeing up a £50 million bid for Eden Hazard. The winger enjoyed a reasonably successful campaign, despite not winning any trophies, as his efforts were recognised with individual rewards such as the Young Player of the Year.

Now, Jose Mourinho has had history with freezing out star players. You only have to look back as far as Juan Mata to realise that. He doesn’t like players that have an effect on his tactics. Mata was great going forward but lacked that defensive cutting edge unlike Oscar and Willian.

However, towards the end of this season, shots were fired between Jose Mourinho and Eden Hazard. Which ended up with the Blues boss criticising Hazard’s commitment to his defensive duties. No matter how angry the Portuguese boss might be with the Belgian star he shouldn’t consider selling him like he did with Juan Mata.

Why? Because Hazard was Chelsea’s most creative player going forward and is literally impossible to defend against when he’s on his game. At the age of 23, he’s got the world at his feet and is on the right path to becoming one of the greats of the game.

We know Mourinho can get the best out of his players and he’s certainly got near the best out of Hazard this season but we know that the Belgian star will get better and better. This is a project Mourinho can’t sell to PSG, for any price.
