Blues looking for comfortable cup victory: The Odds

Chelsea are long odds-on at 1.14 with bet365 and Paddy Power to beat Brentford in their FA Cup replay at Stamford Bridge, and anything but a comfortable success is hard to envisage.

The pair drew 2-2 in the original tie, but it will be a major surprise if Rafa Benitez’s side don’t get the job done at the second time of asking now that they have home advantage.

The stats are certainly good as far as the Blues are concerned as they have only once failed to reach the fifth round of the competition in the the last 14 years, and are unbeaten in four matches in all competitions against Brentford (W3 D1).

They also come into the game after back-to-back successes, whereas their opponents have won just one of their last six games.

It really should be a case of how many Chelsea put past them, and I fully expect them to make their class tell.

Fernando Torres’ only goal in his last 12 appearances for Chelsea came against Brentford in the original clash, and he is a 4 shot with bet365 in the first goalscorer market

That looks short enough, and the player who interests me and looks fare better value is Frank Lampard who can be backed at a best of 6 with Paddy Power.

He has been involved in 23 goals – scored 14 or assisted nine – in his last 24 appearances in the FA Cup, and can also be backed at even money (2) withPaddy Power to net anytime.

That looks decent price given that he is generally odds-on to do so and as short as 1.8 elsewhere.

Over 2.5 goals looks banker bet at 1.33 with Beffred, and I fancy Chelsea to win 4-0.

That outcome is a 9.5 chance with bet365 and Paddy Power.
