Andre Villas-Boas is believed to be keen on signing Everton’s impressive youngster Jack Rodwell.
It has been touted that the Everton midfielder would move in the summer with Manchester United as the favourites but ‘The Daily Mirror’ believes that Chelsea are now most likely to sign the £20 million-rated player, but not at that asking price.
Rumour has it that Andre Villas-Boas does not want to pay more than £10 million for the new England international.
Since taking control AVB has seen Chelsea start to revamp the aging squad by signing the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Oriol Romeu and Juan Mata.
Despite only being 20-year-old, Rodwell has already made over 100 appearances in all competitions for his club.
There is no doubt that Rodwell would add value to Blues’ squad.
