Blues to move for Juve winger

Juventus star Milos Krasic is set to leave the Serie A club, and the £17m rated Serbian winger is favourite to join Chelsea.

His agent Vlado Borozan expects his client to leave Turin in January, he told TMW: “Given the reports that are created with Juventus I would say yes (he will leave). At this moment Chelsea wants him strongly, let’s see if there are other requests.”

He is another player who Andre Villas-Boas rates as a quality player, whilst he is 27-years-old and would cost £17m, Chelsea would get a good three-five years from him.

Krasic moved to Juventus at the beginning of last season and had an excellent first season but has struggled this year.

With Nicolas Anelka leaving plus Florent Malouda and Salomon Kalou also thought to be on their way out of the club AVB needs to bring in new blood.

  1. Krasic is a winger. I don't think he will be last for 5 years, it may be 3 at the most. Chelsea should not be buying short term options, thats a sign of desperation rather than longterm planning. Chelsea must go for under 23s who play for their national team. That way you get quality for 10 years and can build a well integrated team.

  2. But, Gary, we do need some wide men, and wide men with pace at that! Krasic offers both qualities and is in his prime…players such as McEachran, Lukaku, Clifford, Bertand, Van Aalnholt etc etc are the ones we're developing for the future, but in the mean time, having a speedy winger such as krasic would only do good things….Think along the lines of robben…thats what krasic could offer!
