Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino says lemons in his office make him feel comfortable
Many have questioned why the Argentine manager keeps lemons in his office and Mauricio Pochettino finally revealed the secret behind keeping lemons in his office. The Argentine claimed it’s not related to some superstitious thing, but he feels it makes him comfortable.
These are different types of practices we have seen across the world where people keep lemons and green chillies together as they observe all the negative things in the house or office.
You could say it is a religious practice and related to something else, but people do follow this, and Pochettino might keep them for some other reason. He will know they will work and help him feel positive despite the club’s struggles this season.
But many would assume he kept them for some superstitious reasons, but the Argentine declined when asked about it ahead of the FA Cup tie against Manchester City and said via Football. London:
‘’I like to have lemons in my office. It’s not a superstition. I need to believe in this, whether it helps or not. It makes me feel comfortable. It’s like my home now.’’
It’s a good thing that he likes to have lemons at his office because it could help him stay controlled and make wiser decisions when things are in flux. This season, we have had periods when we have had the worst results, but we have also recovered, and perhaps those lemons were part of the reason that gave the Argentine manager the composure he needed to turn things around.
Pochettino has done fair work since he arrived at Chelsea, but many would assume he isn’t the right manager because he hasn’t delivered instant results. However, when you look back at last season and compare it to this campaign, there is a huge difference.
