Why Adam Sandler was at Stamford Bridge for Chelsea vs Newcastle

Hollywood star Adam Sandler was pictured in stands in Chelsea vs Newcastle game

As per Football. London, actor Adam Sandler was in the stands ahead of the Chelsea and Newcastle United games. Sandler’s appearances come 15 years since he was last seen in the Blues vs. Fulham match.

Sandler didn’t attend Oscar night on Sunday but travelled to London this week and was pictured playing basketball at Kensington Leisure Centre. The star’s presence startled the fans since Stamford Bridge was not far from his lodging, and he had considered attending the match.

Good thing he would have enjoyed the game as the Blues prevailed in the match with a hard fight against the Tyneside. The celebrity revealed he had hold of some of Chelsea’s match tickets. The Blues this season have seen many famous Hollywood celebrities and singers come to watch the games.

Long ago, Will Ferrell came to witness the match in 2009 and also posed for photos with former Chelsea captain John Terry. It might have something to do with Todd Boehly, our American owner. He is a well-known American businessman who also paid $2 billion to acquire the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team in 2012.

Future Chelsea matches under Boehly’s ownership should see an increase in the number of Hollywood celebrities attending the games. These things will happen, though, and this season’s key goal is to finish the campaign strong and, ideally, win a silverware.

After the final whistle at Stamford Bridge, the Blues’ supporters exploded in cheers, welcoming Mauricio Pochettino and the players to a 3-2 victory over Newcastle United. Although the victory has relieved some of Pochettino’s pressure, they are still mired in 11th place and will need to keep winning if they want to move up.
