Chelsea have entered the chase for Raoul Bellanova and could compete with many rivals, including Aston Villa and Manchester United.

Chelsea could consider a move for Raoul Bellanova, with the report by BBC insisting they have already approached the right-back along with Manchester United. The Blues will have to compete with several more of their Premier League rivals, including Aston Villa, to land him at the club.

Chelsea are likely to tread carefully when it comes to transfer spending, as they will attack the market for players in key positions. The Blues are keen on bringing in a top-notch center-forward, but they might look at some other crucial positions, namely the right-back slot.

Recently, they have reported that they inquired about Torino’s Raoul Bellanova, who had a good season with the Serie A side. The Italian club does not need to sell and will want the full-back to remain unless they receive some exceptional offers for his signature.

Raoula has caught the eye of a few huge clubs

The opportunity to move to the Premier League will be a tempting proposition for the versatile wide player and a move to a huge and successful club like Chelsea would be a major step up in his career, which would give him better training and management to let him evolve more.

Torino has one goal and five assists in 28 Serie A matches. Scouts from Manchester United, West Ham United, and Aston Villa had previously been dispatched to watch Bellanova in action for Torino.

Chelsea battles for Raoula

Chelsea could certainly use more quality and depth in the department Raoula plays in. Reece James has had his fair share of injury problems and Bellanova could be a quality option to have during rotation and injuries due to his adaptability skills.

The defender would be very fortunate to play for a club like Chelsea

Chelsea are one of the biggest clubs in the country, with substantial resources. It is fair to assume that they will have an advantage in the race if they truly have an interest in signing the Italian. Any player would be attracted to playing for a big club like Chelsea.

More Chelsea news

Even though they are going through a difficult patch right now, the Blues have a talented squad and a quality manager at their disposal. They could bounce back strongly with a couple of quality additions in the summer.
