Gabby Agbonlahor makes damning Chelsea prediction for EFL Cup final vs Liverpool

Gabby Agbonlahor says Chelsea will lose against Liverpool in Carabao Cup

Former football turned pundit Gabby Agbonlahor feels Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea will lose to Liverpool in the final of the Carabao Cup on February 25th, and it will be the end of his club’s stint here.

The hammerings against Liverpool and Wolves has put Pochettino’s job on the line, and there are plenty of big games to come before the Carabao Cup final. These games’ outcomes will decide the future of the Argentine manager at Chelsea.

The West Londoners will face Aston Villa in the FA Cup, then travel to face Crystal Palace. Next up will be Manchester City at Etihad Stadium. After that, they will host Tottenham Hotspur and then will come Carabao Cup final where will face the Reds at Wembley.

And the former Aston Villa player Agbonlahor has made his prediction for their Carabao Cup final and told TalkSport:

“If he goes out to the FA Cup and loses to City and Palace next Monday, then he has a final with Liverpool, and I think he will lose it, then his season finishes with Chelsea.”

Pochettino has a run of important games to save his Chelsea future.

The Argentine manager has been dealt a run of massive games, which will undoubtedly determine his future here, since the issue is already becoming worse. However, perhaps things will settle down if we defeat Liverpool in the Carabao Cup.

Gabby Agbonlahor says the defeat to Liverpool in Carabao Cup will end his time at Chelsea.

Liverpool will undoubtedly be ready and hoping to win the EFL Cup in order to give Klopp the greatest possible farewell with titles this season. We are going to play against a side that is full of confidence and will punish us for any errors, as we saw in their 4-1 Premier League victory. We’re hoping to take something away from that game and use it as motivation to win in order to preserve his future with the team.
