Karim Benzema has netted six goals against Chelsea in Champions League

Chelsea have added a few strikers to their January transfer list, and Karim Benzema is among them who could move back to Europe. The Frenchman still has the quality to play European football.

The former Real Madrid striker is exploring his options after not being satisfied at the Saudi Pro League club, and the Blues have been alerted by the recent developments.

As per Squawka, his records against English clubs are enough to suggest the Blues should land him for a short-term fix, and he might work wonders as a stopgap until the team finds a consistent goal scorer.

The Frenchman’s favourite English teams have been Liverpool, Chelsea, and Manchester City. And maybe it’s time for the forward to score goals for the Blues.

Benzema’s ability to find pockets of space and help in the transition while present at the right time in the opposition box makes him a killer striker and this is what Chelsea needs.

He will have ample services from other players because we have missed most chances in the Premier League this season. This indicates how bad we have been in front of the goal.

Mauricio Pochettino’s counter-attacking style will suit the forward who has previously played for a club that is famous for transition when it comes to attack. Other strikers, such as Jackson and Broja, will gain great experience from him.

With Nicolas Jackson out for a few weeks due to international duty and Christopher Nkunku suffering a new injury, signing a new striker makes more sense, and we should make a move for Benzema.

We should thus hope that the Blues would sign Benzema rather than another rookie forward because we need a seasoned striker who can score goals and not let us down. Given the striker’s enormous salary, it is still unclear if Al-Ittihad will approve a loan deal for him. Additionally, a contract revision may be necessary.
