Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino says he cannot forget his relationship with Daniel Levy

Many fans were unaware of Mauricio Pochettino’s background until he was named manager of Tottenham Hotspur in 2014. Prior to joining Spurs as a coach, the Argentine had held managerial positions at Espanyol and Southampton. Daniel Levy, the chairman of Spurs, texted him after he was appointed manager of Chelsea, wishing him luck in his new role in West London.

From there, it started a new era for Spurs, where they transformed into an elite side, finishing in the top four frequently and also coming close to winning the Premier League in the 2015-16 season and the Champions League in 2018-19.

Pochettino was fired after Spurs failed to win any more games in the 2018–19 campaign. Every Tottenham supporter who thought the team was among the best in the Premier League under the Argentine had Pochettino on their radar when the club was searching for a manager in the summer of last year.
