Chelsea set to submit another proposal for Gabriel Moscardo

Chelsea have advanced their pursuit of Brazilian midfielder Gabriel Moscardo and have now submitted a formal proposal to land the 18-year-old midfielder.

According to GOAL in Brazil, (h/t Express), the Blues are joined by Barcelona to compete for his signing, but they want to be ahead of the Spanish club after sending a formal proposal.

Moscardo has impressed at Brazilian club Corinthians. The youngster earned his first team debut this season and quickly showed his talent, which has now attracted the Blues.

Chelsea set to submit another proposal for Gabriel Moscardo.

This saw the West Londoners submit an offer earlier, which was quickly turned down by Corinthians, but Chelsea are positioning themselves to make another bid.

Following their presidential election, the Brazilian club has now elected a new president, while former chief Duilio Monteiro Alves made his stance clear that clubs will have to pay at least £30 million to sign the midfielder.

Augusto Melo, who could be their potential president, might change the price of Moscardo, but it remains to be seen how it develops. Given how highly they regard the midfield player and how anxious they are to get him to Stamford Bridge, the Blues will be in the race to sign him.

At this young age, receiving interest from elite European clubs is a testament to one’s skill. Moscardo has excelled and, should he sign with the Blues, he will be eager to make a statement.

However, if Chelsea are successful in signing him, they will also need to regulate his playing time because, as you can see, it seems difficult to see a respectable number of minutes on the pitch considering how many midfielders they already have in the senior team.

It remains to be seen how things pan out, though, since it depends on how much the Blues will offer again and considering that their new president has the authority to change his price. If they ask for more than what he is currently charging, we should refrain from paying that amount.
