Chelsea tracking Ivan Toney, Ollie Watkins and Benjamin Sesko
Chelsea are already planning their targets for the January transfer window as they are apparently chasing Ivan Toney, Ollie Watkins, and Benjamin Sesko as striker options for the winter window.
As per GiveMeSport (h/t BBC), the Blues want to reinforce their centre-forward position with the abovementioned players on their list for January signings.
Despite adding a new striker, Nicolas Jackson, who scored only once in his previous four Premier League outings, Chelsea once again having trouble racking up goals this season.
Another striking option Armando Broja is currently nursing a knee injury, while Christopher Nkunku is set to be out until November. Toney, who is currently serving a betting ban, will return to action in January, and the striker has already opened up about leaving the club in his latest interview.
Watkins, who is yet to find the back of the net this season, registered 15 goals in 37 Premier League games as Aston Villa secured a UEFA Conference League spot.
Meanwhile, Benjamin Sesko is currently enjoying a breakthrough campaign with two goals in three games, and last season he recorded 18 goals in 41 matches across all competitions.
Toney and Watkins are capable of filling the vacancy, as they have established themselves as among the league’s most lethal strikers if Chelsea are truly interested in adding a striker during the winter transfer window. Toney, however, is considerably superior and will immediately consolidate our offensive line. Watkins is a talented player, but his performance this year has been fluctuating.
He hasn’t been a reliable goal scorer, leaving the Blues with no choice but to go with the Brentford hitman. The 26-year-old is the perfect pure striker who, if he joins us, should hit the ground running promptly.

Sesko, on the other hand, is still maturing and would be an unsuitable option because it would take some time for him to reach his productive phase. The pressure of being signed and being placed in a competitive league might be too much for the 20-year-old. So, if Chelsea were to choose between the aforementioned strikers, Watkins or Toney would be a much more accurate choice.
