“Pochettino wants him”- Journo says Bayern are upping their pursuit of 23-year-old Chelsea target

Journo says Mauricio Pochettino wants Juventus star and Bayern Munich target Dusan Vlahovic at Chelsea

Bayern Munich are apparently turning on the afterburners in their pursuit of Juventus striker and Chelsea transfer target Dusan Vlahovic.

According to journalist Rudy Galetti, Mauricio Pochettino sees Vlahovic as the ideal striker for his plans at Chelsea. The journalist told GiveMeSport, via Football.London:

“I was told a week ago Pochettino wants him, considering him the ideal striker for his tactical idea, however, the Blues have to pay attention to the competition. Bayern Munich in fact are increasing the pressure on Dusan, targeted as their priority to strengthen the attack.

“Anyway, in general, Dusan would like to leave Juventus after this last difficult season, and that’s why an original agreement on personal terms we deem shouldn’t be so difficult

Vlahovic has a bit of everything and when you watch him play, you get the feeling that he is similar to Harry Kane in the way that he latches onto any chance inside and outside the box in the final third.

The train to Dusan

Of course, there are elements to his game that can be improved, such as his passing skills and the ability to drop deep to bring other attackers into play. But those are things that Pochettino can do over the years, just like he helped Kane develop at Tottenham Hotspur.

We mustn’t forget that the Serbia international is still only 23 years old and is yet to hit his peak. Juventus, courtesy of a points deduction, finished outside the top four this season in Serie A.

So it’s not like he will give up UEFA Champions League football if he makes the switch to Stamford Bridge. The need for a striker at Chelsea is evident. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Kai Havertz just cannot cut it here on a weekly basis.
